Waste of money. I am sending back the second copy of this totally incompetently printed mess at MY expense, mind you. The cover is lovely, but 90% of the text is totally unreadable. They either need to put some toner in the printer or get a better master copy. And why they couldn't check the second copy they sent me before shipping it out I have no idea. No more. I'll find it somewhere else.Product details

A great research asset for any Woodson researcher. Price is very affordable compared to the hard bound book that is around 60.00.
This book should not be for sale. It is a very poor reproduction of a 19th-century volume, with pages that are either completely blank or so faint that they are impossible to read. I would estimate that 33% of the book, at least, is unreadable. The book is available, in part, online, and I thought that by purchasing it I could read the pages that I can't access on the internet (which are, by the way, crisp and completely legible). My mistake. My advise--save your money and don't buy this book.
The reproduction quality of this book is so poor the book is literally illegible. I have returned it and I have no confidence in a replacement.
TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. I would give this less than one star if I could. Every other page is blank and what does have anything is completely eligible.
I am sure that this book has a ton of info in it. However, I can hardly read it. Maybe if I knew what names should be in it, I could do better. I will surely go bling trying to decipher this. I am very very disappointed. I was so excited to finally get this book. I have ordered many book on genealogy before and have never gotten one that I was disappointed in before today.

This book is unreadable after the first 50 or so pages. The printer hasn't used good-quality images of the original source material and only portions of the letters appear; captions of images are placed at the bottom of blank pages, etc.
It's too bad, as I'm a Woodson descendant and had looked forward to owning a hard copy of the book for my research, even though it's available electronically online. Can't imagine how a printer can justify sending out a volume that's mostly blank pages and charging a premium for it.
I am a direct descendant of Dr. John Woodson and was really looking forward to the information that "should" have been in this book. I was very disappointed when it arrived and almost half (or maybe more) of the pages were blank or the printing was so light it was unreadable. The pages that could almost be read were difficult to connect to members of the family because you couldn't read what was on the page before or after and there was no index of names. It looked like it was a poor copy of a poor copy of an original. I was expecting much more for the price of this book. I returned it yesterday. Thank you for allowing me to do so.
